Pip: A Very Special Little Caterpillar is a story about the bond between mother and child.  My intention was to portray some of the lessons that mothers teach to their children and how those lessons hopefully, build character, strength, commitment and love into the moral and value systems of the child.

Pip happens to be a caterpillar faced with some very real physical challenges. And yet, he is guided continuously by his parents to work hard, to love deeply and to believe in himself.  Not all of us recognize the true potential that lies within us.  Sometimes it takes a mother’s love to surround us, lift us and show us the way.

It is through personal growth, strength of character and the power of the love that Pip shares his worries and his greatest hopes, attaining a deeper understanding of his challenges and the love that surrounds him.
This particular story also attempts to reassure children of all ages, including adults, who struggle with the loss of a parent. The greatest gift Mama gives to Pip is her love and the lesson that Love never leaves. Even when that person is gone, their love, their life lessons live on in our hearts and our minds, coloring the world around us.

Take a moment to learn the lessons along with Pip and know that with Love all things are possible.
